Lt. David Reichenbaugh Maryland State Police retired, and author of In Pursuit the Hunt for the Beltway Snipers, signs the first book out of the box for Trooper Dan Dinko, who purchased the first book and the only original signed poster of the book cover at the 2018 Road Dawg Rumble. Trooper Dinko and his wife were the highest bidder for Reichenbaugh’s first book during the live auction event held earlier in the Year at Martins West in Baltimore. The money raised at the annual Road Dawg Rumble goes to support the Maryland State Police Alumni Association, and their goal to modernize the State Police Museum and capture the rich history of the Maryland State Police.
For Reichenbaugh, who retired at the Rank of Lieutenant in 2005 it was a real honor to be able to provide an original signed poster of the Book Cover and the first autographed book in support of an agency that he loves and will always consider to be his extended family. In Pursuit the Hunt for the Beltway Sniper, is a true crime story about the Maryland State Police role in one of the most intense man hunts in American Law Enforcement History. Reichenbaugh, the author and at the time of the Sniper Killings, that traumatized the Mid Atlantic Region and captured the attention of the entire nation as well as the rest of the civilized world, played a major role in the 23 day intense investigation and the blood thirsty killers capture in Myersville Maryland. The Beltway Snipers were responsible for murdering in cold blood ten people in the Region and the wounding of 4 more. They killed from concealed positions using a 223 cal. sniper rifle. Coming only a year after the 911 attacks, these random killings brought the nations capitol and the surrounding areas to a stand still. Citizens stayed inside in fearing they would be next, as Reichenbaugh and close to 1000 other federal agents, Trooper,s and Officers looked for clues and hunted the snipers. Reichenbaugh along with other Troopers finally cornered the killers in a rest area off the interstate in Myersville Maryland, bringing the cold blooded murder spree to a dramatic end. In Pursuit the Hunt for the Beltway Snipers, takes the reader inside the investigation for the first time. In Pursuit will be in book stores October 2nd and is available on line at Amazon, Barnes & Noble, and Indie Bound.
David Reichenbaugh will be at the Baltimore Book Festival on the Inner Harbor Stage on Saturday September 29th at noon to discuss In Pursuit the Hunt for the Beltway Snipers. The book will be available for purchase at the Festival and he will sign books following his appearance.
