Author Retired State Police Lt. David Reichenbaugh will be at C. Burr Artz Library in the Community Room on Saturday March 9th at 11AM to discuss his book In Pursuit the Hunt for the Beltway Snipers.
His book chronicles the most intense and larges man hunt in American law enforcement history as he along with 1000 other lawmen tracked the beltway snipers for 23 days in October 2002. The cold blooded killers were responsible for killing 10 innocent civilians and wounding 4 more as they went on a rampage in the Maryland, Virginia and District of Columbia region. Choosing their targets at random the killers terrorized the region and brought normal life as we know it to a standstill. Reichenbaugh who played a major roll in the investigation details the investigation. He puts you into his shoes as he along with his team worked day and night to bring the killers to justice and lift the fear in the region.
The event starts at 11AM with a discussion about the book In Pursuit the Hunt for the Beltway Snipers. After the discussion the author will be happy to answer any questions and sign books. Books will be offered for sale by local Book Store Curious Iguana. Stop by support your local public library, and be involved with the great event.
